WHAT
IS MITINAB TABLETS?

Imatinib
Mesylate is a targeted therapy. Imatinib Mesylate is classified as a signal
transduction inhibitor – protein-tyrosine kinase inhibitor. Imatinib mesylate
belongs to the signal transduction inhibitor category of targeted
therapies.  It is particularly a protein-tyrosine kinase inhibitor.

USES OF IMATINIB TABLETS:

 Imatinib
Mesylate is used for newly diagnosed adult and pediatric patients with
Philadelphia chromosome positive chronic myeloid leukemia (Ph+ CML) in chronic
phase. Ph+ CML in blast crisis, accelerated phase, or chronic phase after
failure of interferon-alpha therapy. Adult patients with relapsed or refractory
Philadelphia chromosome + acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph+ ALL). Adult
patients with myelodysplastic/myeloproliferative diseases (MDS/MPD) associated
with PDGFR gene rearrangements. Gastrointestinal stromal tumors that are C-kit
positive.

POSSIBLE SIDE
EFFECTS:

fluid
retention–shortness of breath (even while lying down), swelling, rapid weight
gain (especially in your face and midsection); fluid build-up in the
lungs–pain when you breathe, wheezing, gasping for breath, cough with foamy
mucus;
liver problems–upper stomach pain, dark urine, clay-colored
stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes);
low blood cell counts–fever, chills, flu-like symptoms,
swollen gums, mouth sores, skin sores, rapid heart rate, pale skin, easy
bruising, unusual bleeding, feeling light-headed.

signs of stomach bleeding–bloody or tarry stools, coughing
up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds;
signs of tumor cell breakdown–lower back pain, blood in your
urine, little or no urinating; numbness or tingly feeling around your mouth;
muscle weakness or tightness; fast or slow heart rate, weak pulse; confusion,
fainting; thyroid symptoms–extreme tired feeling, dry skin, joint pain or
stiffness, muscle pain or weakness, hoarse voice, feeling more sensitive to
cold temperatures.

severe skin reaction–fever, sore throat, swelling in your
face or tongue, burning in your eyes, skin pain, followed by a red or purple
skin rash that spreads (especially in the face or upper body) and causes
blistering and peeling.

COMMON SIDE
EFFECTS MAY INCLUDE:

Nausea,
vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea; joint or muscle pain; skin rash; or feeling
tired.

DRUGS INTERACTIONS: 

Take
this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as
a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Mitinab 400 mg Tablet is to be taken
with food.

Mitinab 400 mg Tablet is an anti-cancer medication. It works by blocking the action of
the abnormal protein that signals cancer cells to multiply. This helps to stop
or slow the spread of cancer cells.

DRUGS PRECAUTIONS:

Always take Mitinab 400 mg
Tablet with food and a full glass of water.

Do not change the dose or
discontinue use without consulting your doctor.

Mitinab 400 mg Tablet may
cause dizziness or blurred vision. If this happens to you, do not drive or use
machinery.

Water retention and
swelling are very common side effects of Mitinab 400 mg Tablet. Notify your
doctor if you have unexpected rapid weight gain.

Notify your doctor about
all the medications you are taking, including over the counter medicines and
dietary supplements.

WHAT IS MITOTAX  INJECTION?

Mitotax 300 MG Injection is an anticancer medicine, used in chemotherapy to treat a number of cancers. Primarily it is used in the treatment of breast cancer and ovarian cancer. It is sold under the trade name of Taxol. Mitotax 300 MG Injection is categorized as a plant alkaloid, a taxane, and an antimicrotubule agent.

USES OF MITOTAX  INJECTION:

Mitotax Injection is used for Ovarian cancer, Breast cancer, Advanced non-small cell lung cancer, Allergic reactions, Pancreatic cancer, Aids related cancer cells, Patients non-responsive to anthracycline based therapies, Severe chronic pain, Acute methanol poisoning, and other conditions.

Mitotax Injection may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Mitotax Injection contains Dehydrated Alcohol, Paclitaxel and Polyoxyl 35 Castor Oil as active ingredients.

Mitotax Injection works by treating the allergic reactions; stopping the growth and spread of cancer cells in the body; producing degeneration of nerve function for control of chronic pain and inhibiting metabolism of methanol.

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS:

The most commonly reported side-effects of Mitotax Injection are vomiting, nausea, bleeding, loss of sensation in limbs, mild changes in skin or nails, and inflammation or sores of the inside area of mouth.

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS MAY INCLUDE:

Mitotax 300 MG Injection is a type of irritant that may cause an inflammation of your vein through which it is being given. Other side effects or reactions that you may experience on taking Mitotax 300 MG Injection are nausea, vomiting tendency, hair loss, diarrhea, hypersensitivity, mucositis, skin rash, flushing, blurred vision, numbness, dizziness, fever, paleness, difficulty in breathing, cough, sweating, slow or irregular heartbeat and chest pain. In certain adverse cases, it may cause major arthralgia, myalgia.

DRUGS PRECAUTIONS:

Before using Mitotax Injection, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert.

Dosage is based on your condition. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Important counseling points are listed below.

Avoid using it in case of pregnancy or lactation

Consult your doctor for sperm conservation before consuming paclitaxel

Consult your doctor if you observe allergic reaction after consuming paclitaxel

Do not drive or operate heavy machinery

Exercise caution when driving or operating machinery after receiving this medication

Existing risk of bleeding

Keep away from heat

Keep away from open flames and heat sources

Only for administration by a trained medical professional

Pregnant, planning to get pregnant or breastfeeding

Use of this medication for pain control runs the risk of paralysis if not administered correctly

DRUGS INTERACTIONS:

If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Mitotax Injection may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that your doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions.
