WHAT IS RIBAHEP ?

RibaHep is an antiviral that belongs to a class of medications called nucleoside analogues. It inhibits an enzyme RNA polymerase which is essential for viral replication and thus decreases the amount of Hepatitis C virus in the body thereby resulting in less liver damage and improved liver function.

MEDICINE USES :

Ribavirin 200mg is an antiviral medication. This medicine must be used together with an interferon alfa product to treat chronic Hepatitis C viral infection that damages the liver.

RIBAVIRIN COMMON SIDE EFFECTS :

nausea, flu-like symptoms, tiredness; fever, chills or shaking; headache; mood changes, feeling irritable; muscle pain; or stomach pain, vomiting, loss of appetite.

Call your doctor at once if you have :

    problems with your vision;
    severe pain in your upper stomach spreading to your back, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea;
    stabbing chest pain, wheezing, feeling short of breath;
    severe depression, thoughts about suicide, or thoughts about hurting someone else;
    signs of serious anemia–pale or yellowed skin, dark colored urine, confusion or weakness; or
    other signs of low blood cell counts–fever, chills, flu-like symptoms, swollen gums, mouth sores, skin sores, easy bruising, unusual bleeding, feeling light-headed.
    signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat

SAFETY INFORMATION (Precautions) for RIBAHEP RIBAVIRIN CAPSULES :

    Ribavirin may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. These effects may be worse if you take it with alcohol or certain medicines. Use Ribavirin with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to it.
    Ribavirin may lower the ability of your body to fight infection. Avoid contact with people who have colds or infections. Tell your doctor if you notice signs of infection like fever, sore throat, rash, or chills.
    Serious and sometimes fatal lung problems have happened with Ribavirin. Call your doctor right away if you have lung or breathing problems (eg, trouble breathing, shortness of breath, a cough that is new or worse).
    Diabetes patients – Ribavirin may affect your blood sugar. Check blood sugar levels closely. Ask your doctor before you change the dose of your diabetes medicine.
    Some brands of Ribavirin are not approved for use in CHILDREN younger than 18 years old. Discuss any questions with your doctor.
    PREGNANCY and BREAST-FEEDING: Do not use Ribavirin if you are pregnant. It has been shown to cause harm to the fetus. Avoid becoming pregnant while you are taking it. If you think you may be pregnant, contact your doctor right away. It is not known if this medicine is found in breast milk. Do not breast-feed while taking Ribavirin.

MEDICATION STORAGE REQUIREMENTS :

Store at 25°C (77°F); excursions permitted to 15° and 30°C (59° and 86°F). Keep bottle tightly closed.

DRUG INTERACTIONS :

Some MEDICINES MAY INTERACT with Zydus Ribavirin. Tell your health care provider if you are taking any other medicines, especially any of the following:

    Didanosine or other nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs) (eg, lamivudine), other antiretroviral medicines for HIV infection, or thiopurines (eg, azathioprine) because serious side effects, including risk of infection, nerve problems (peripheral neuropathy), pancreas problems, bone marrow suppression, lactic acidosis, and severe or fatal liver failure, may be increased by Ribavirin
    Anticoagulants (eg, warfarin) or certain NRTIs (eg, lamivudine, stavudine, zidovudine) because their effectiveness may be decreased by Ribavirin

WHAT IS RICOVIR L TABLETS?

Ricovir L Tablet contains Lamivudine and Tenofovir as active ingredients. It works by blocking the activity of a viral enzyme; increasing the number of infection-fighting cells in the body.

Ricovir L Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of Hiv, Hepatitis b virus, Hiv infection and Hepatitis b virus infection.

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE-EFFECTS OF RICOVIR L TABLETS?

Consult your doctor if you observe any of the following side-effects, especially if they do not go away.
Disease of muscle tissue, Kidney problems, Low potassium levels, Lactic acidosis, Liver problems, Increased liver enzymes, Pancreatitis, Muscle weakness, Urge to vomit, Bone pain, Fractures, Low blood phosphate level, Dizziness, Weakness, Runny nose, Rash, Hair loss, Fever, Insomnia, Indigestion, Nausea, Diarrhea, Cough, Dizzy or tired, Joint pain, Itching, Headache, Stomach pain, Muscle pain, Feeling weak

WHAT IS RITOMAX 100 MG TABLET? 

Ritomax is an antiviral medicine composition of Ritonavir that prevents human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) from multiplying in your body.

Ritomax is an antiretroviral agent, prescribed for HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) infection either alone or combined with other antiretroviral agents. It is a protease inhibitor.

USES OF RITOMAX TABLETS:

Ritonavir is used together with other antiviral medicines to treat HIV, the virus that can cause acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).

Ritomax 100Mg Tablet is used for the control, treatment and prevention of Rocky Mountain spotted fever, bacterial infections of the eye, urinary tract infections, and HIV/AIDS. 

Ritomax 100Mg Tablet works by inhibiting the growth of viral particles and preventing the virus from multiplying inside the body.

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS: 

Do not use Ritomax 100Mg Tablet if you are allergic to any of the ingredients present in it. Before using Ritomax 100Mg Tablet tell your doctor if you are using any prescription drugs, non-prescription drugs, or other herbal and dietary pills and supplements, if you are pregnant and/or breastfeeding, if you have hemophilia, if you have pancreatitis, if you have a history of kidney and liver problems, if you have low potassium or magnesium blood levels, if you high cholesterol, or if you have any sort of bleeding disorder. Also let your doctor know your history of medical problems, pre-existing diseases and current health conditions.

Ritomax 100Mg Tablet include inflammation of the pancreas, excess cholesterol, dizziness, tiredness, rash or itching, back pain, neck rigidity, palpitations, dry mouth, nausea, dyspepsia, vomiting, anxiety, sweating, fever, weakness, unusual taste in the mouth, throat pain, cough, pruritis, renal insufficiency headache, and myalgia.

hives, skin sores, mouth sores; joint or muscle pain; wheezing, difficulty breathing, fast or pounding heartbeats; sweating, feeling light-headed; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Ritomax are Altered taste, Headache, Nausea, Diarrhoea, Paresthesia (tingling or pricking sensation), Dizziness, Cough, Abdominal pain, Throat pain, Peripheral neuropathy (tingling and numbness of feet and hand).

DRUGS INTERACTIONS:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ritomax 100 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.

Riax 5 mg Tablet is an against diabetic pharmaceutical. It works by expanding the arrival of insulin from the pancreas and diminishing the hormones that raise glucose levels. This lessens the fasting and post meal sugar levels. 

DRUGS PRECAUTIONS:

Ritomax 100 mg Tablet is an anti-HIV medication. It works by interfering with an enzyme (protease), which is required by HIV-infected cells to make new viruses. This stops the production of new viruses.

Consult your doctor about taking the ritonavir if you had a history of hepatitis A or B, hemophilia, diabetes, erectile dysfunction, kidney disease, any kind of infection, stiffness or aches or pains in joints, weakness or pain or tenderness in muscles, light-headedness, dizziness, fainting episodes or abnormal heartbeat.

Ritonavir tablets should always be taken with food.

Use effective methods of contraception to avoid pregnancy.

Do not drive or operate machinery as ritonavir can cause dizziness or sleepiness.
