WHAT IS ARIMIDEX TABLETS?
Anastrozole lowers estrogens levels in postmenopausal women, which may slow the growth of certain types of breast tumors that need estrogens to grow in the body. This medication is classified as a “non-steroidal aromatise inhibitor.
USES OF ARIMIDEX TABLETS:
Anastrozole is used to treat breast cancer in women after menopause. Some breast cancers are made to grow faster by a natural hormone called estrogens. Anastrozole decreases the amount of estrogens the body makes and helps to slow or reverse the growth of these breast cancers.
Anastrozole is used to treat breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It is often given to women whose cancer has progressed even after taking tamoxifen. Anastrozole is an aromatise inhibitor. Tumor cells dependent on estrogens grow less when there are no estrogens.
